It's great to be alive and be a reporter...sort of

These are halcyon days for newspaper nudniks like yours truly. TBI agents flitting around the City County Building, special prosecutors delving through computer and paper records for evidence of mischief, the mayor's PR people denying then "undenying" occurrences - it's great to be a reporter! Gang, we're looking at a homegrown version of Watergate here, with Mike Arms playing G. Gordon Liddy and Cynthia Finch waiting in the wings to don her John Dean makeup. What could be better?

Well, for starters, how about an executive branch that didn't call the wrath of God down upon its head? Think carefully when you choose your next mayor, Knox County. Once is enough.

Larry: Every day is a halcyon day to be a reporter! Sure beats shoveling shit in Louisiana, doesn't it?

But you're right. This is a mini, wanna be kind of Watergate. Ragsdale, though, is no Richard Nixon...

Thanks for all your hard work, buddy.
