Update - government p-cards

Under the headline, Federal auditors find rampant abuse of government purchasing cards, is this story on the WBIR-TV web site:

"Congressional auditors say they're finding millions of dollars in questionable charges -- like lingerie -- posted to government credit cards. Federal workers have also posted charges for Internet dating, tailor-made suits, and lavish dinners costing more than $150 dollars per head.

The report from the Government Accountability Office comes after claims of credit-card abuse surfaced within the Departments of Defense, Homeland Security and Veterans Affairs.

One member of an investigations subcommittee which requested the report says too many government workers are using their purchase cards like personal lines of credit. And Senator Norm Coleman says when government funds are going for iPods, lingerie and socializing, the problem needs to be remedied immediately."

And now we know where some former county employees have landed!
