March breezes in

Wind, rain, hail, tornado alerts and a possibility of snow this weekend - it must be March.

Notable days in March include the 15th (the Ides of March, poor Julius Caesar), St. Patrick's Day on the 17th, Earth Day on the 21st, Easter (this year) on the 29th and - most importantly - March 13, my birthday. Hah! (Oops! Almost forgot March Madness, the top collegiate sporting event of the year, period.)

March may have inspired more poets than any other month of the year. Here's a snippet from Emily Dickinson that is strangely appropriate for the situation in the County Mayor's office:

"March is the month of expectation,
The things we do not know,
The Persons of Prognostication
Are coming now."

Harassment.

March on, "Persons of Prognostication."
