Plenty of folks in this neck of the woods are more than a little unhappy with our leadership at the county level. No doubt even more have a bone to pick with Governor Bredesen. But we've got nothing on the good people of the state of New York.

Governore Eliot Spitzer was caught on a federal wiretap making arrangements to meet a prostitute in Washington, D.C. last month.

“I have acted in a way that violates my obligation to my family and violates my or any sense of right or wrong,” Spitzer said.

“I apologize first and most importantly to my family. I apologize to the public to whom I promised better.”

According to a New York Times story, Spitzer "did not address his political future."

Let me take a stab at it: Done. Toast. He's bone.

Spitzer had been a high-profile crusader as attorney general. Ironically, high-price prostitution rings had been among his targets.  Crying.
