The Empress has no clothes

Give her credit for (at times) being slightly more coherent than in those pitiable interviews with Katie Couric, but if any doubt remained that John McCain's selection of Sarah Palin as a running mate was one of the more cynical political ploys in presidential campaign history, tonight's debate should have removed it. Short (no, make that nearly bankrupt) on facts, long on "gee whiz" and trying oh so very hard to reach out to you America, Palin as a vice presidential candidate would have me up all night laughing if it weren't for the serious possibility that her ticket could get elected.

Let's face it, we aren't a nation of deep thinkers when it comes to selecting our national leaders. George W. Bush. Need I say more?

What, you didn't like "team of mavericks"? Or the winking?

You, sir, have a heart of stone. ;)
